Storytelling

In this age of social media we are all becoming our own storyteller. While the technology used to share stories has changed dramatically, the basic principles remain the same; we share stories to enable us to learn, to pass on knowledge and wisdom, to entertain and to create societies. At ALL EARS we provide you with the social platform to hear, share and learn from stories in their purest form - the spoken word...

ALL EARS has come from a desire to provide a break from the norm; an event for people who want to be inspired and who seek new stimulus in their day to day lives. It was started by two such individuals, Sarah Dryden and Faith Hill. Sarah, formerly Marketing and Events Manager at ?What If! Innovation in New York and London, has spent many years promoting ?What If!'s fantastic array of speakers at events worldwide and met many great storytellers along her way. Faith has spent 13 years marketing and publishing many well known media brands, during which time she has absorbed, enjoyed and shared incredible true stories in the written word.

At ALL EARS, three to four storytellers every month are selected for their experience, knowledge and commitment and given centre stage for 15 minutes each. We invite real people, with a real story to tell in the hope that our audience leaves feeling inspired and energised. Past speakers have included the talented and vivacious

Deborah Francis-White who guided our audience through techniques on how to be more charismatic; and Noel 'Razor' Smith who told his incredible story of his 33 years in and out of incarceration for armed robbery. Some of our speakers you will have heard of, others not. What they all have in common is that they are real people with an inspiring story to tell...

We carefully choose the venues we use to host ALL EARS as we believe that the environment in which you listen to stories is nearly as important as the stories themselves. We want our audience and speakers to feel at home, comfortable and that they are in a safe environment in which they can freely express themselves and get involved.

The Hub, Kings Cross is an inspired space for meeting, working, innovating, learning and connecting and has been a great home for our first two events. For future events, we will be partnering with The Paradise by Way of Kensal Green and The Old Queens Head in Islington; both fantastic spaces that actively promote literary and creative events.
